Less social media, more books and blackberries.

Blackberry, anyone?

Friends,

I’m still on my social media break, so this post will be short and sweet, like blackberries on a summer morning.

First, I’m sharing Mary Oliver’s poem, AUGUST, from her collection DEVOTIONS, to help cool you off and leave you with a happy tongue.

I’ve been having a really creative, happy month filled with excellent books, cool beverages, and damn good movies. Are you finding ways to enjoy your dog days of summer as well? Tell me what you’re up to because even though being off social media is very good for my brain, I miss seeing your faces and updates.

The gentleman will have a Manhattan. The lady? A Blackberry Bramble garnished with lemon verbena, please.
